Born and raised in Little Italy, Vinny Vella aspired to make it to the top and share the special limelight of the
stars. In his adult life, he entrepreneued and founded Star Truckers, a company
providing transportation to stars namely Madonna, Mariah Carey as well as top
fashion models such as Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. Star Truckers has
contracted with NBC, ABC, HBO, and MTV providing vehicles for makeup, print
work, feature films and TV shows.
He was always surrounded by
celebrities watching from behind the cameras. He learned the ins and outs of the
movie business. While working on the set Vinny Vella was invited to play as an
extra. Working as an extra, he watched and listened as directors directed actors
and actresses. While observing, he realized that one day he would be in front of
the camera as a principle.
Not knowing his destiny, Vinny begins
pursuing print work and captures the attention of casting agencies who submit
him as a candidate for print work with magazines such as Esquire, German
Cosmopolitan, Italian Myster and British GQ modeling sportswear for Robert
Stock, Bill Blass tuxedos and suits for Giorgio Armani. Casted as a police
officer for a Dockers Levis TV commercial, he finds himself growing in
popularity. Doors begin to open for Vinny.
Shortly after, he was perused by MTV for two appearances on House of Styles
featured with top models. Moving into film, he was then casted in Girl 6, a
Spike Lee production as a Driver. He has come a long way since Godfather III as
a Pastry Vendor for Paramount Films. While working on his RV’s he thinks only of
providing good services and is committed to his business and Family. Little does
he know that his big break is just around the corner. A casting call came to the
attention of Vinny regarding a film called CASINO. Not knowing much about it, he
pursued casting directors trying to get in for an audition. He was unsuccessful
until he approached Martin Scorsese’s office directly. Not only was he given and
interview but landed a principle role as Artie Piscano. Shortly after, an
opportunity presented itself with ESPN which led to 35 lead spots in a
television commercial for Monday night baseball produced by Radical Media. A
call from Martin Scorsese’s office results in the best print job Vinny could
ever ask for with GEORGE Magazine owned by John F. Kennedy Jr. giving him an
opportunity to share a spread with Robert Deniero promoting the movie CASINO.
The phone rang again and Vinny found himself on New York Undercover, produced by
Wolf Films, in a principle role as Ray Savato.
Vinny’s dream was happening. The
projects following CASINO were, Donnie Brasco with Al Pacino produced by
Undercover Pictures. To his disbelief, he was on his way.
